In 1984, the Japanese film company, Toho Co., Ltd. launched the second series of Godzilla films. Toho wished to bring back the original feel of the old Godzilla films before they became "kid friendly". All the films of this series take place within the same timeline with the 1984 film being a direct sequel to the original Gojira. Below, you will find a catalog of all the Heisei Series Godzilla films, from 1984 to 1995. I have also included links to where you can buy these amazing films.

Godzilla is a great motivator!

In 1999, the Japanese film company, Toho Co., Ltd. began making the thrid series of Godzilla films. With higher budgets and the advantage of the latest special effects technology, these films are outstanding. Each film in this series is a direct sequel to the original 1954 Gojira, essentially portraying Godzilla in alternate timelines. Below, you will find a catalog of all the Millennium Series Godzilla films, from 1999 to 2004. I have also included links to where you can buy these amazing films.

This is a very good Godzilla movie. The director tried very hard to keep the original movie in tact and I think he succeeded. You have to watch the commentary, the producers obviously enjoy Godzilla and wanted this to be the best Godzilla experience.
My only disappointment was that Netflix described this DVD as having Japanese language with English subtitles. But the DVD they sent me did not have the original Japanese dialog version. I still enjoyed the movie and I recommend it to any Godzilla fan.

Today I received Godzilla: Raids Again from Netflix. The DVD disk looks like an original, not a Netflix copy. The face of the disk has an icon printed on it for each monster in the movie. Nice touch Classic Media!!
This is the Japanese version of the film with English subtitles.
I am looking forward to seeing this movie.
